(Virtually) Tour a GP Cellulose Forest
GP Cellulose sources its fiber in a region with increasing forest area, strong rule of law, and responsible family forest landowners. This, in combination with sound sourcing practices, certifications, and conservation efforts, provides our customers with sustainable solutions. Through our Virtual Forestry Tour, we aim to not only provide information on our responsible sourcing practices but also share how that comes to life in the regions where we source our wood fiber.
As a manufacturer of wood-based products, plentiful and healthy forests are critical to our business, and sustainable practices are important to our consumers, customers, and employees. While GP does not own all the timberland supplying our mills, we remain engaged in sustainable forestry. The virtual tour highlights one of our sourcing basins in a southern yellow pine forest near our Leaf River Cellulose Mill that is representative of forests that surround all GP Cellulose mills.
We have customers located around the globe that may not be able to travel to where we source wood. We also have a range of customers – some with a full-time team dedicated to sustainability and others in which sustainability is just one of the many hats they wear. The virtual tour provides an opportunity for all customers to learn more about our responsible sourcing practices.
